Terms of service

Effective October 15, 2026.

Annotate is the website at annotate-app.fly.dev and the extension that connects Chrome to it. You frame part of a web page, write a note, and send it to Claude Code or Codex. Using Annotate means you agree to these terms.

Free

Annotate is free.

Your account

The person who holds the account must be 13 or older. Your account is the Google or GitHub sign-in you first used, so sign in with the same one each time. Keep it yours, and do not sign in for anyone else.

What you may not do

Your content

What you frame, write and send is yours. Annotate claims nothing in it. You let Annotate keep it, and send it to the services the privacy policy lists, only to run Annotate for you. You are responsible for having the right to share what you show it.

As it is

Annotate is offered as it is and as it works today, without a warranty of any kind. Annotate does not promise that it is always up.

If it goes wrong

Annotate is free, so the most it owes you for anything that goes wrong is what you paid for it, which is nothing. Annotate is not liable for what you or an AI agent does with a frame, or for a frame that is lost. Where the law does not allow this limit, the limit is whatever the law allows.

Changes to Annotate

Annotate may change, pause or stop the service, or any part of it, at any time.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: delete your frames and sign out. To close your account, ask for it in Feedback. Annotate may end access for an account that breaks these terms.

The law that applies

These terms are under the law of California, United States, and a dispute that cannot be settled through Feedback goes to the state or federal courts in California. If a court finds one part of these terms void, the rest stands.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes. The newest version is always at this address. Using Annotate after a change means you agree to the new terms.
